BROODSTOCK FEED for SalmonidsMartin's Broodstock Feed For Salmonids is an extruded slow-sinking diet formulated for the specific maintenance and conditioning needs of larger Brood Fish. Enhanced vitamin and mineral levels promote the quick recovery of fish during the stressful spawning period. Inclusion of the carotenoid, Astaxanthin promotes excellent egg quality and offspring vigor.
RECOMMENDED FEEDING GUIDE
To ensure the best quality and quantity of egg and/or milt production during spawning, it is imperative that brood fish be fed immediately after spawning as much as they will consume. This conditions the fish for the next spawning. Monitor fish feeding behaviour closely 6-8 weeks before spawning. At this time the fish will be reducing their feed intake substantially. Overfeeding will result in feed waste and poor water quality conditions. Our feed representative can provide you with more assistance if desired.
